How much does Camp America cost?
The cost varies depending on the camp, role, and extras, but here’s a rough guide:
Application & placement fees: Free, we get commission from the camps so all our services at Camp America Co are free.
Flights and insurance: We can arrange flights, or you can book your child's own flights, but we need all campers to arrive on the same day, so we can properly arrange transport from the airport to the summer camp with the camp.
Insurance: We can support you on this or if you have your own you can use it
Pocket money: All campers will be recommended an amount which they will have with them at the camp and will be given when on trips, and outings like the mall.
Camp Fees: All depend on how many weeks your child goes to camp, fee start at £5000 for 3 weeks.
What do you get for the camp fees? Accommodation, all food, local trips, all activities, all evening activities and more.
Larger trips for 13 year old + will be paid separately, all information here:
Best American summer camps for UK teens
So there is no single “best” camp — it depends on your child’s personality and interests:
Traditional sleepaway camps- like Camp Echo → classic activities: sports, arts, nature, water sports.
Specialty camps → focus on music, drama, sports, or adventure.
Gender only camps: Girls only and Boys only, with all the normal camp activitys
Faith-based or themed camps → align with specific values or goals.
What matters most is finding a camp with a reputation for safety, inclusivity, and strong support for international campers.

Most American summer camps accept children and teens from ages 7–17.
Younger campers (7–12): focus on fun, creativity, and trying new activities.
